HR/ER Business Partner – Part Time – 6 month Contract

An opportunity exists for a highly experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in a part time capacity (24 hours per week) on a six month contract, located at our Mulgrave office.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will support the team to provide a broad range of strategic HR services to address key business issues. Your passion for employee relations will be a key strength you will bring to this role.

You will operate as a strong team player, leveraging relationship skills and business expertise. You will counsel and consult with managers and associates in a variety of human resource areas to include performance management, HR policies and practices, talent management and other issues that may impact the work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Consult, provide counsel and guidance to managers in relation to performance, equal opportunity, associate workplace behavior, conducting investigations as required
  • Provide guidance to business unit managers and provide strategies/recommendations to improve associate satisfaction, support career development and align with ADP organisational culture.
  • Undertake projects and support the Human Resources Director as required
  • Facilitation and delivery of training and information sessions as required
  • Analyse and develop initiatives to improve and maintain associate retention and engagement
  • Assists in the deployment of new HR related systems and processes developed and/or acquired at the division or corporate level.
  • Ensures ADP compliance with relevant OHS and Workcover legislation, including the management of Workcover claims
  • Assist in organisational design, restructure and redundancies as required
  • Work closely with ADP ESI Overseas Associates as required on various projects and initiatives
  • Drive Employer of Choice initiatives to improve Associate engagement and Retention

Applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

  • You will be an experienced HR practitioner with proven experience in managing employee relations issues including advising, coaching and business partnering with all management levels.
  • Knowledge and application of the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards is crucial to your success in this role.
  • You will have strong personal accountabilities with a track record of delivering on expectations and commitments.
  • You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, solid analytical and problem solving skills, and strong project management capabilities.
  • Your strong business acumen is complimented by your highly developed internal consulting
    and influencing skills.

Additionally, you will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications within a HR discipline
  • Working knowledge of Employment Legislation (Fairwork Act / Modern Awards).
  • HRIS knowledge and experience, SAP advantageous
  • Knowledge of Fair Work Act and Clerks Private Sector Award 2010
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
