Looking after the full HR function for both South Australia and the Northern Territory across multiple blue collar sites, this role will provide learning, stretch opportunities, and will be a valued partner to the business.

Growth in both the business and in the P&C function means it is an exciting time for someone clever to take on the challenges ahead for this stand alone HR role. Looking after the full HR function for both South Australia and the Northern Territory across multiple blue collar sites, this role will provide learning, stretch opportunities, and will be a valued partner to the business.

This role is located in the Adelaide CBD, reports through to the Head of People & Culture in Sydney, and will closely support business leaders to grow and manage their workforce. With multiple sites here in SA and in NT, there will be significant travel required for this role to effectively build relationships with the business as well as delivery of strong HR operational support. For the right candidate, either an experienced pair of hands, or someone taking the next step up in their career, the breadth and variety of managing this predominantly 200 + employee blue collar multi-site workforce will be broad, busy, meaningful and challenging.

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables may include;

  • Strong operational HR support experience to multiple sites
  • Support, advice and delivery of recruitment, workforce planning across all role levels
  • Support, coach and develop site managers to enable then to effectively handle people related issues
  • Offering proactive advice on best-practice HR across a variety of issues including workplace legislation, policy, performance and remuneration
  • Employee relations, investigations and best-practice performance management advice, including case management and overseeing issues raised with external bodies such as union organisations and FairWork.
  • Providing advice and support on issues related to Industrial Relations, EBA, and union engagement
  • HR reporting, and working with and maintaining HR systems.
  • Contributing to the planning and implementation of people related initiatives and projects

 

If you have solid HR generalist experience in a senior advisor or HR Manager level role, and you're familiar with the challenges and opportunities that can arise working with a blue collar workforce, then this role could be for you. With the ability to influence stakeholders, navigate the IR/ER landscape, and the skills to coach and support your stakeholders remotely, this may be the next role for you to own and run HR for both SA and NT. You will ideally have qualifications in HR, a desire to make a difference, and be comfortable with travelling requirements
