Your new company:
This company are a leading healthcare company that have a range of products and services for their patients. They are looking for a HR Manager who is responsible for leading and providing support in the range of human resource functions.

Your new role:
The position will also maintain and enhance human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices at a tactical level.

Duties:

  • Support the site leadership teams with cost control and operational impact from HR requirements; know the cost impacts resulting from HR outcomes, decisions and requirements
  • Maintain staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counselling managers on candidate selection; as appropriate conducting and analysing exit interviews; recommending changes - for both direct and labour hire employees
  • Ensure employees are inducted and trained to complete tasks and positions to which they are allocated
  • Prepare employees for positions by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs
  • Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances
  • Maintain employee benefits programs and informs employees of established benefits
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organisation at hearings
  • Industrial Relations, including EA bargaining, resolving disputes involving Unions and employee representative groups
  • Work within the national appraisal system ensure all employees within scope are appraised in accordance with the approved guidelines
  • Work with managers to develop performance management programs
  • Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures. Training the workforce in the practical application of those policies and ensuring compliance with same
  • Ensures HR information systems, manual and electronic, are maintained as the primary source of employment information
  • Maintain historical human resource records, manual and electronic, by ensuring compliance with the established filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records

What you'll need to succeed:

  • You will have 5 years' experience in a similar role Ideally
  • Tertiary Qualified in Human Resources Management or similar
  • Strong HR and ER technical knowledge
  • Performance Management
  • Strong coach and communicator with excellent listening skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • Continuous learning mindset
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and be able to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under deadlines and pressure
  • Strong collaborator and team player
  • Good organisational skills with cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Applies business practices and ethics
