HR Manager - HR Business Partner - Large Fast Paced Retail Brand across sites in Sydney- 2000+ employees

Your new company
Well known and highly successful Hospitality and Retail brand in Australia with store networks across the country. Working across multiple sites in Sydney, part of a larger HR team experience significant growth and change.

Your new role
Reporting to the HR Director, you will manage a large state based client group of 2000 + employees across a large store network in NSW.

  • You will have one member of staff reporting in, and work closely with area managers, operations and store managers in the execution of HR programs and oversee the full employee cycle from recruitment and talent management to performance management and WHS.
  • You will spend a large proportion of the role coaching leaders and employees through a wide variety of HR work including performance management, talent management, succession planning as well as day to day operational tasks including workplace investigations, exit interviews, WHS and employee engagement.
  • In addition as the role develops, you will have the opportunity to be a key change agent in the business and create and deliver on new HR programs and project yet to be designed.

Working closely with the HR leaders and wide HR Business Partnering team, you will influence and autonomy to deliver these people strategies to your client group which could range from a new talent mapping initiatives through to workforce planning, new store openings and HRIS implementation. These are exciting times for this fast paced and customer-centric brand.

What you'll need to succeed
You must be passionate about working in fast paced, large business dynamics where no two days are the same. This is a superb business partnering role and you must have experience of managing your own state based client group, or a client group based across multiple sites and/or stores for a number of years. You will have worked in a similar industry, e.g. Hotels, Hospitality, Food, Retail, FMCG, customer facing or service driven. You must be hands on and enjoying building relations at all levels of the business. You must also be a strategic thinker and have a track record on delivering HR projects previously. You will be resilient, confident as well as being humble and open to new ideas and be flexible. There is limited state travel expected but this is something you must be happy to do as and when required.

You will have the autonomy to manage your own client group and work whilst contribute to a wider National HR strategy. The salary on offer is $110,000- $125,000- based + super + bonus scheme. This is a full time role and will be office and store based Monday to Friday. Part time hours cannot be considered for this role due to workload and the business requirements. Central Sydney offices.
