We are currently looking to appoint a HR Project Support Officer. This assignment will be a full time temporary opportunity, running through to June 2020.

YOUR NEW ROLE
Your primary responsibility will be focussed on a portfolio of work to support the organisation. This includes recruitment, staff procurement, learning and development, quality and continuous improvement for a particular business unit's.

You will demonstrate initiative, sound judgement and work closely with stakeholders across the Agency to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. You will also have a thorough understanding of the requirements of the position, as well as the legislative and corporate frameworks that underpin its activities. As the HR Project Support Officer - Operations Support, you will be responsible for:

  • Being accountable under limited direction and supervision to manage the tasks and activities related to the recruitment, selection and on-boarding of staff for a particular business unit(s).
  • Liaise with the relevant business area stakeholders to support recruitment and selection activities, including participating on selection panels as appropriate.
  • Provide technical professional and policy advice and support in relation to Operational Support activities.
  • Monitor and review daily tasks and activities against team and divisional plans.
  • Manage competing priorities and timelines effectively.
  • Identify trends and recommend areas for improvement to ensure business efficiencies are realised.
  • Consult and share information with the Operational Support Team and drive process changes to achieve work area and divisional business outcomes.
  • Manager a team of 3-5 people
 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
To be successful in the role, you will be an experienced HR professional who demonstrates strong leadership and management skills.

  • You will be a strong communicator who demonstrates a capacity to develop and maintain productive working relationships across all levels of the Agency.
  • A flexible approach will ensure you can quickly adapt to a changing environment and ensure risks profiles and mitigation activities remain current and appropriately monitored.
  • Ability to work within the team and adapt quickly to a changing environment
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency

Applicants with an understanding of, or experience in the field of disability will be highly regarded.

This is a fast paced, constantly changing role requiring initiative, resilience and the drive to go above and beyond.
