Your new company
A Global Facilities Management company is currently looking to add an experienced HSEQ Advisor to their team on a permanent basis. This role will expect 1-2 days working in the office either in the CBD or their Western Sydney or South Sydney office and also allows working from home flexibility.
Your new role
The HSEQ Manager is responsible for providing HSEQ management to a complex banking client. You will support the implementation of the contract specific Management Plan. You will oversee relevant training, conduct major audit events and undertake informal investigations.
Responsibilities include:
- Structure and develop systems, processes, and programs across the portfolio.
- Design and control the implementation of systems through yearly operational plans, campaigns, training activities and general programmes.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive contractor management, monitoring and auditing system for the contract. This will include capital and FM related works.
- Coordinate and control Business Continuity and Crisis Management Planning and its implementation, including training personnel and participants.
- Conduct incident investigations and generate recommendations for implementation.
- Consult and manage the coordination of major incidents or events
- Provide support on the management of risks identified in the client's portfolio and manage the governance of the client's risk register
- Monitor HSEQ performance of contractors and manage relationships with the client.
- The contract is responsible for HSEQ support on the clients' contract, delivering ongoing, comprehensive performance and compliance reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum Cert IV in WHS
- Have 5 years' experience within a Safety Department
- Well versed in federal and state OH&S/WHS legislation and regulation.
- The ability to implement and enforce systems and best practices at a national level.
- Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify issues and the judgement to determine appropriate courses of action for achieving long-range organisational goals
