An exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to join a local organisation.

Your new company
Our client, a leading organisation is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to support the organisation and lead the HR team which comprises of industrial and employee relations, generalist HR, recruitment, retention and payroll, WHS and Workers Compensation

Your new role
The Human Resource Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for the management of people throughout the organisation. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer your key responsibilities include:

  • Management of the operations of the Human Resource department including HR strategy and policy, learning, development and coaching, recruitment and retention, industrial relations and employee relations including EBA negotiations, remuneration, reward and recognition and compliance
  • Providing leadership, direction and co-ordination to the development and implementation of HR strategies enhancing the organisations capabilities and support the core annual targets
  • Interpreting, understanding and applying awards, enterprise agreements, HR processes and management of the employee life cycle including overseeing the Payroll department
  • The development and implementation of effective workforce development strategies that ensures the organisations ability to attract, retain and develop high quality and committed staff
  • Management and monitoring of the organisations Work Health and Safety plan, to ensure operations including remote regional align with current legislation
  • Mentoring and coaching of a small team whilst leading by example as am executive staff member
  • Provide strategic leadership by encouraging the organisation to grow a culture that is focused on best practice
  • Preparation of regular reports for the Executive team, reporting on progress on HR initiatives and statistics

What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience in managing and enhancing an operational HR team to maximise output. Your background in aligning HR operational processes to people strategies will have ensured that you have been successful in leading a proactive HR team. You will have previous experience in successfully planning, developing and implementing strategic plans and have expert knowledge in workplace legislation, industrial instruments and processes that identify and mitigate risks to organisations and employees.

You will have excellent leading and mentoring skills and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will understand the importance of building capability within an organisation and have successfully achieved this by using a collaborative HR approach. Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a similar discipline are essential and an AHRI certified qualifications are desirable.
