Human Resources Officer - Contract

Your new company

This temporary assignment is with a values based not for profit organisation headquartered in Townsville. Due to plans for rapid growth in service delivery to the surrounding region, they have an immediate need for a HR Officer.

Your new role

Supporting managers across North Queensland, your main focus will be on recruitment and on-boarding.
As part of the HR Officer team based in Townsville, day to day you will be:

  • Coordinating advertising and sourcing for current roles including advertising in various mediums
  • Pre-screening and selection of candidates including interviewing via phone and in person
  • Conducting pre-employment checks and compliances based on the role and legislative requirements
  • On-boarding and orientating new employees in line with processes and procedures
  • Support line-mangers with ad-hoc HR needs as directed

What you'll need to succeed

To secure this assignment and the potential for long term work in a growing organisation making a significant contribution to the community, you will have demonstrated experience in end-to-end recruitment.
You will also need:

  • A compassionate and proactive attitude towards diversity and inclusion
  • Strong attention to detail and mulit-tasking ability
  • Ability to perform efficiently under pressure and be flexible in meeting the needs of the hiring managers you are working with
  • Full-availability to commence within the next 2 weeks.
