The business is rapidly growing and this role will be pivotal in ensuring support and advice to the leadership team. You will report to the General Manager of People and will be an integral member of a national HR team. You will provide support, advice and project leadership across all elements of the Industrial Relations agenda, including:

  • Working with the broader HR function and leadership team to lead or join teams supporting projects in the ER / IR function.
  • Drafting and reviewing employment agreements, policies and procedures
  • Provide detailed and sound advice and support on policies, procedures and award/ agreement interpretation in line with legislative compliance both in Australia and NZ
  • Monitor ER / IR matters across the broader business and provide expert advice to the HR Leadership Team on operational impacts Provide advice and support to the business on Enterprise Agreement negotiations and associated IR processes
  • Represent the business on matters in the Fair Work Commission such as unfair dismissal conciliation and other regulatory body mediations as required,
  • Deliver training to teams on ER / IR and safety matters
  • In partnership with line managers, lead investigations into employee grievances or misconduct matters, arriving at appropriate disciplinary outcomes as required to support the wider People & Safety team
  • Champion compliance and governance matters across the business.
  • Provide support and change management for any business changes or restructures as required

To succeed in this opportunity, you will be suitably qualified with tertiary qualifications in Business / HR or Industrial relations / law. Your expertise is drawn from a fast paced, multi - site environment. You will be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders in a changing environment, adding value and creating solutions for the business.
