Opportunity for junior Safety professional with reputable pharma business focused on learning & development

Your new company
Safety Officer is being sought for a growth opportunity by a leading pharmaceuticals company based out in Dandenong South. This company holds Safety as their core value and they are looking for a junior Safety professional to join them as a Safety Officer. As this reputable organisation grow they are seeking a junior candidate with the hunger to join an organisation which prides itself on learning and development.

Your new role
As the Safety Officer, you will be responsible for the training and induction of a diverse range of staff members, along with any contractors coming onsite. In line with the organisations core values you will place safety at the heart of everything. Assisting in the development of a safety and in driving a reduction in workplace injuries and incidents. Reporting directly to the Distribution Centre Manager, we are looking for a resilient, proactive and competitive natured individual who is eager to learn and work within a high performing team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring compliance and promotion of all OH&S policies and procedure
  • Onsite Inspections and Audits
  • Driving and demonstrating safety behaviours
  • Risk Management and Risk Assessments
  • Review and Monitor Processes


What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, demonstrated experience working in a related safety role, having recently graduated and/or receiving your Diploma in OH&S you will be given additional training to take your career to the next level in a team that regularly excels. We are also looking for the following as a minimum:

  • Certificate IV Occupational Health & Safety as a minimum requirement
  • Demonstrable experience with a Safety Officer and/or Site Safety position
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic and with a positive, solutions focussed attitude
