Learning and Development Manager, Perm role based in Sydney West, salary $170,000K plus super

The newly created position provides the opportunity to work with a large educational organisation working across Australia. This is a permanent position based in inner Sydney with a salary of up to $170,000k plus super.

Your new role

The newly created role of Learning & Development Manager reports directly to the HR Director and manages a team of two. This role will be responsible for the creation and implementation of learning and development strategies across the organisation, leading the company on its journey to becoming a learning centre of excellence.

The L&D Manager will influence strategic learning delivery across the business, with a key objective to identify and continually develop learning strategies. This will be achieved by applying a range of delivery techniques that ensure all operations have tailored and structured plans to meet training requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have experience in the industry and also the ability to develop and implement the following:

Proven ability to develop and implement internal leadership programmes that encourage and empower high performing teams, increase employee capability and develop emerging leaders.

Experience implementing learning management systems with effective change management practices.

Previous experience working in early learning or education will be advantageous.

Work history surrounding early career strategies, involving the creation of Undergraduate, Graduate, Apprenticeship and Traineeship programmes.

Track record of partnering with external stakeholders to maximise learning opportunities.

The role also requires a high level operational understanding of training and development processes and exploring a future state establishment of a Hazell Bros training academy.

Develop the Learning Framework and strategy aligned with business needs and objectives.

Develop learning pathways for all critical roles.

Support and lead the development of content for the learning framework.

Development of best in sector learning to support the growth of industry knowledge.

Working in alignment with leaders and the people, the team gathers information from workforce plans and performance elevation plans to understand current capability gaps to inform learning strategies.
