The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Manager for Diversity, Leadership & Inclusion, this position is vital in working as part of the D&I team to interpret, advise and act on matters relating to Indigenous employment.

Working for an organisation that is undergoing significant transformational change, you will work to develop, implement and evaluate strategies, policies, programs and initiatives with a focus on implementing and supporting the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employment Framework.

This role also focuses on driving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment and supporting Indigenous Staff through their career lifecycle.


  • Ability to focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment, retention and career development at all levels of the business
  • Experience in working with stakeholders to develop strategies and programs to facilitate greater Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander recruitment and targeted retention measures
  • Experience in analyzing HR Statistics and trend data and provide regular reporting information to meet reporting and compliance obligations
  • Proven experience of translating best practice HR and diversity policy and strategy into consistent best practice
  • Knowledge of best practice recruitment, retention, development and attraction of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and of culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse peoples in the government, private and international sectors
