National - HR Business Partner - Contract

This business has a global footprint and growing operations in the Asia Pacific region. The business operates from over 15 sites across Australia and is a recognised industry leader.

Reporting to the Head of HR, you will be responsible for HR operational support and partner with business leaders to deliver business outcomes. As a strong HR Generalist you will have worked as a true business partner and be comfortable building and maintaining strong partnerships to drive business results through robust people and performance strategies.

  • You will have demonstrated an ability to develop clear, actionable steps in support of an overall business strategy and deliver relevant, effective people solutions in a changing environment;
  • Experience in managing grievance/performance issues;
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the industrial framework (i.e. Awards, Fair Work Act, EBAs etc.);
  • Proactive and process improvement mindset;
  • Self-motivation, drive and resilience are essential and you will be highly-skilled in influencing, negotiating, gaining credibility and building relationships with stakeholders;
  • You will also be patient, assertive and diplomatic, with a collaborative style and willing to roll up your sleeves and own your portfolio.

As a true generalist you will need to have experience dealing with IR and ER issues in the workplace and dealt with a significant range of performance related issues. Your ability to leverage support with senior managers from a technical background will be crucial as will your ability to ensure that communication is upheld with your client group and assigned work is delivered on time to a high standard. Experience in partnering a diverse business with both corporate and blue collar workgroups will be essential.

The role does require some travel as you are supporting the business nationally and as such they offer a level of flexibility.
