HR BP required to cover maternity leave role, based in Derrimut paying $120,000 + super

Hays is currently partnered with a marketing and distribution operations company to recruit a National Human Resources Business Partner to cover a maternity leave role. Specialising in fresh produce, this company is one of the largest operations in the southern hemisphere.

Your new role
This role will coordinate and support the management of all stages of employee lifecycle within the company. Responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and support the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs.
  • Support and mentor managers throughout all stages of the employee lifecycle, including the recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
  • Facilitate and coach managers and leaders in undertaking performance management activities, including probationary reviews, performance and behaviour management.
  • Provide support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
  • Build credibility with key stakeholders by providing helpful insight and appropriate guidance on people related matters.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide confidential employee assistance for personal issues through welfare processes and referral to counselling and other external professional support as appropriate
  • Actively contribute and engage in HR change projects, to further drive business engagement and improvements
  • Manage employee engagement surveys and supporting managers as required with actions
  • Workers Compensation management and administration and Return to Work coordination
  • Coordinate and support employee health monitoring programs.
  • Develop and recommend strategic HR and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Support roll out of learning and development programs to support employee talent development
  • Maintain HR systems, data integrity, records and processes
  • Analysis of and reporting of HR key metrics.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Experience in award, workplace agreements and legislation interpretation and application
  • Strong leadership skills, always leading by example and showing mentorship to teams
  • Experience working with, supporting and influencing Management & Leadership teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
