Our client is one of Australia's largest independent specialists in Sensitive Freight. The job office location is based in Western Sydney.

Your new role

As the National People and Culture Manager, you will oversee and manage the People and Culture function. This includes HR employee lifecycle, recruitment, training, employee relations and wellbeing, talent development, and organisational development, all in alignment with business objectives. You will manage a three-person HR team consisting of a HRBP, RTW Officer and a Training Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy Formation: Contribute to functional strategy with your expertise.
  • Policy Development: Review, refine, and apply HR policies.
  • HR Frameworks: Develop and implement frameworks for recruitment, performance management, and talent retention.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on workplace relations and compensation laws.
  • Business Advice: Provide expert advice to senior managers.
  • Data Analytics: Use HR data to improve employee engagement and performance.
  • Leadership: Communicate and motivate the team to achieve strategic goals.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the P&C budget.
  • Change Management: Support transformational change projects.
  • Capability Building: Identify skill gaps and prioritise development activities.
  • Performance Management: Set objectives and manage team performance.
  • Case Management: Handle complex employee relations and legal cases.
  • Industrial Relations: Participate in enterprise agreement negotiations and manage union relationships.
  • Training Development: Design and deliver training programs to maximise employee performance.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent level is highly desired
  • Experience of owning and leading an HR function is essential.
  • An ability to balance both operational HR processes and demonstrate strategic HR influence is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience improving Employee Experience
  • Experience managing organisational change
  • Experience working with a Blue Collar workforce is essential.
