Australian not for profit health insurance and care company in Geelong seeks P&C Business Partner

This is a broad role where you'll provide business-focused People and Culture partnering to the Health Services team.

The role will partner with the Health Services leadership team and take direction from the health services growth strategy and work plan to identify and implement solutions across a range of P&C generalist functions including organisational design, workforce management, proactive talent acquisition including building talent pipelines and managing end to end recruitment for new business portfolios, developing networks and building relationships within the healthcare industry, talent development, and leadership and management capability, employee relations and performance management. The role will also build capability and equip the Team with the skills to effectively lead, manage, support and build their teams to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Provide strategic People and Culture advice and implement P&C initiatives to enable and support the effective delivery of business objectives
  • Fulfil key elements of the Expansion projects including key cultural changes, structure/OD design and employee and industrial relations requirements and ensure the integration of these aspects
  • Coach and mentor developing sound people management, leadership skills and competencies.
  • Actively promote cultural change and support new ways of working and continuous improvement to provide a high quality, professional, consistent and cohesive P&C service.
  • Organisational Development and Talent Management
  • Provide professional, business-focused P&C service.
  • Work in partnership with management teams to identify the people implications of strategic and business plans and other developments. Promote new ways of working and agree appropriate local-level interventions to maximise opportunities, support change and manage risk.
  • Provide strategic and operational P&C advice on the interpretation of P&C policies and procedures, employment legislation, recruitment and retention strategies, and managing change processes, providing risk analysis to support this.
  • Planning and Implementation
  • Ensure compliance with the Company's Delegated Authorities, Business Plan, Policies and Standards
  • Keep up to date with regulatory trends and changes and actively participate in training and update type activities
  • Provide advice, share knowledge and identified solutions/wins with others to facilitate strong team performance

As our ideal candidate, you'll be a strong all-rounder people focused HR generalist and have a passion for talent acquisition, building relationships along with a commercial mindset and flexible approach where you enjoy the challenges of a mixed strategic/operational role.

  • 5+ years HR Generalist experience at the business partner level
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, ideally in a health services environment
  • Experience recruiting for business acquisition and growth models
  • Demonstrated experience in drawing insights from the key people metrics that matter to leadership teams
  • Able to build collaborative relationships across a diverse business customer groups and external training bodies
  • Confident advisor with the ability to coach and influence senior leaders
