Boroondara is changing
We are in the midst of implementing our new organisational design. This change is crucial to delivering on our commitment to become a truly customer centric organisation. We are aligning how we work together with where we want to be - what does this mean for you?

You will bring a fresh perspective to our business transformation, allowing you the opportunity to influence, challenge, lead and explore areas within your portfolio while collaborating with teams outside of your specialised area.

A little bit about the role
In a nutshell - this is a broad and diverse HR position with countless opportunities. It is unique and we are seeking a unique skill set.

We will look to leverage your expertise in HR operations, people systems and process improvement and in return we will provide you with opportunities to lead, influence and grow your career in a diverse organisation where delivering a customer centred experience for both our community and our people is our purpose.

What does this look like?

  • You will own and deliver strategic people processes, policies, systems and operations across our organisation - where enhancing our employee experience is key.
  • You will oversee our HR and payroll systems - from evaluating system requirements and integration opportunities through to vendor management, implementation of enhanced functionality and/or new systems, and everything in between.
  • You will lead our process optimisation roadmap and where it makes sense utilise technology for a digital solution.
  • You will evolve our reporting metrics and design a fit for purpose framework which drives leader accountability, informs decision making and monitors our employee experience.
  • You will lead our wonderful operations and systems team by providing proactive leadership tailored to each individual while ensuring a collective approach to projects, opportunities and ideas as inevitably our work is intertwined.

You will be a key member of the wider People, Culture and Development leadership team working with us to continue supporting our customer experience and organisational culture goals. We are passionate and committed in approach, but like to have fun along the way too!

Experience to help you thrive in your role

  • You are a capable and trusted leader and have experience in leading through change.
  • You can dip and dive between strategic planning and delivery to hands-on development of policy, process and HR operations.
  • You are experienced in overseeing people systems - you ask the right questions and have had experience in managing implementation projects.
  • You understand the importance of clean data and have delivered workforce reporting and analytics that drive change.
  • You can confidently communicate, negotiate and consult with stakeholders and understand the importance of successful strategic partnerships.
