How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…

Working in our People, Culture and Leadership Branch, you will join our busy Support Services team supporting a range of first level Human Resource queries and processes from across the employee lifecycle. This is a critical service delivery role that will benefit from your experience in the HR operations space as you work with our diverse stakeholder group in a high volume/transactional environment. 

You will join our team at an exciting time, where we are embarking on developing new ways of working with the implementation of our new HRIS (Successfactors) on the horizon, this will no doubt improve employee experience for our customers and provide us with opportunities to work more efficiently. You will work collaboratively with your team to document processes, identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to wider HR projects that will continue to improve our service to the broader organisation.

By working efficiently in this role you are contributing daily, whether it’s assisting a new hire getting onboarded or helping a leader in submitting a new request, your work matters and plays a role in serving our Community.

What you will bring

You have a keen eye for detail, enjoy communicating with your stakeholders and have worked in a similar team environment. You are comfortable with interpreting policies, enterprise agreements and have the ability to research legislative requirements when needed.  

Leveraging a variety of systems on a daily basis you have demonstrated experience with HRIS applications and seek out improvement opportunities when things seem a little clunky.
