Creative Media and Digital SME seeking a passionate People & Culture Manager in Sydney. Stand alone role.

Your new company
Growing and highly successful Media brand with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and NZ are seeking an experienced HR Professional to join their small and collaborative business to support future growth

Your new role
Reporting to the MD, you will be responsible for the establishment of a full HR function covering all aspects of operational and HR day to day tasks as well as strategic projects and coaching.

Specific areas will include:

  • Design L&D frameworks
  • Development and establish talent development plans for employees
  • Recruitment - talent attraction and talent management
  • Engagement and culture initiatives
  • Leadership coaching
  • HR policy development and HR process improvement
  • ER, legislation, WHS and legislation advice provision
  • Wellbeing
  • Reward & recognition

In addition as this is a stand alone role, you will be required to be both a strategic thinker with exceptional coaching skills, but also someone who is happy to help in more basic tasks when needed and support the business from ground up and partner with the Senior Leadership.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced HR manager, People & Culture Manager who is passionate about talent, engagement and ensuring best practice and high standards are adhered to in any business or culture. You will enjoy working in the SME, smaller business sector and with 50 - 70 employees in total this role needs someone happy to work in a stand alone role. You must be hands on, enjoy operational HR work and be happy to chip in and draft a contract or write a report if required as well as be an impactful strategic HR leader. You will ideally come from a Media, Digital, Creative, technology, Entertainment, Publishing or other customercentric, client or or entrepreneurial brand.

What you'll get in return
As this is a newly created People & Culture manager role, you will have the opportunity to design and implement brand new processes and programs and truly make a difference. Working for a leader in its field, with very high standards and best practice, this is a unique and rare position in the creative inner suburbs of Sydney. Salary is $110,000 - $130,000 base + super and will be part of the SLT. This salary is non negotiable and will not consider more senior director level options due to the size of the business.
