Creative Media and Technology SME seeking a passionate People & Culture Manager in Sydney.

Your new company
Growing and highly successful Media brand with operations based in Sydney and overseas, are seeking an experienced HR Professional to join their small and collaborative business to support future growth

Your new role
As People & Culture Manager, you will be responsible for the establishment of a full HR function covering all aspects of operational and HR day to day tasks as well as strategic projects and coaching. You will manage a small team and embed and develop all HR processes, policies and design and deliver on people strategies for a workforce of 150.

Specific areas will include:

  • Relationship building and stakeholder management across a wide range of teams and departments
  • Review, develop and implement HR policies and processes
  • Embed compliance and educate on employment legislation
  • Employee relations - award interpretation, policy advice, contract management
  • Performance management both hands on and designing of performance management frameworks
  • Talent acquisition, EVP development and talent management strategies
  • Engagement and culture initiatives
  • Leadership coaching
  • Wellbeing and WHS
  • Reward & recognition

In addition as the role grows from start up, you will be a key driver in HR related projects and advise senior leaders on people strategies. As this is a smaller business you will be required to be both a strategic thinker with exceptional coaching skills, but also someone who is happy to help in more basic tasks when needed and support the business from ground up and partner with the Senior Leadership.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced HR Manager, People & Culture Manager who is passionate about talent, engagement and ensuring best practice and high standards are adhered to in any business or culture. You will enjoy working in the SME, smaller business sector with experience of global HR or an ANZ focused HR Manager role. You must be hands on, enjoy operational HR work and be happy to chip in and draft a contract or write a report if required as well as be an impactful strategic HR thinker. You will ideally come from a Media, Digital, Creative, technology, Entertainment, Publishing or other customercentric, entrepreneurial brands.

What you'll get in return
As this is a newly created People & Culture manager role, you will have the opportunity to design and implement brand new processes and programs and truly make a difference. Working for a new emerging leader in its field in Australia, with very high standards and best practice, this is a unique and rare position in the creative inner suburbs of Sydney. Salary is $120,000 - $130,000 base + super and will be part of the SLT. This salary is non negotiable and will not consider more senior director level options due to the size of the business. Full time hours.
