An exciting opportunity has become available to join this large Federal Government department in their well-established Performance & Code of Conduct team.

Your new role

Your new role as a Performance & Code of Conduct Case Manager will see you operate with limited direction. This role includes case management of matters relating to performance management, underperformance, investigation of alleged breaches of the code of conduct, bullying and harassment, workplace conflict/dispute resolution, reviews of action, and Public Interest Disclosures.

You will require proven research, analytical and conceptual skills to resolve a range of complex HR and people management issues. In addition to an ability to quickly obtain knowledge of the department's HR policies and procedures, an APS 6 Case Manager will need considerable experience with, or knowledge of the following:
  • Interpretation and application of departmental HR policies and procedures
  • The Public Service Act 1999
  • The Public Service Regulations 1999
  • The Australian Public Service Commissioner's Directions 2019
  • The APS Values and Code of Conduct
  • The Public Interest Disclosure Act 2013
  • The Fair Work Act 2009
  • The Work Health Safety Act 2011
  • The Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013
  • The Privacy Act 1988

What you'll need to succeed

Experience in a similar role and a relevant qualification or background in Government Investigations, Human Resources, Employment Law or Injury Management is desirable but not essential.
