Recovery Partner (Non-Work Injuries) - Contract

RTW and Injury Management Advisor for non-work related injuries required for NSW Government roles.

Your new company
You will be working for a NSW State Government department who is undergoing change at and requires 2 additional team members in their Return to Work/Recovery at Work team.

Your new role
You will:

  • Develop and implement workplace policies, procedures and Recover at Work programs to facilitate the recovery and RTW of injured employees with claims ensuring maintenance of best practice in recover at work services.
  • Maintain contact with recovering employees and ensure they are aware of their legislative entitlements and responsibilities in relation to Recover at Work programs.
  • Manage, monitor and report on key performance indicators and regularly review and report on the quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Review outstanding cases regularly, and participate in reviews with relevant managers.
  • Maintain a Recovery at Work database to ensure all relevant documentation relating to an non-work related injured employee is up to date, correct and their privacy is maintained.
  • Assist in promoting recovery at work to managers and supervisors and attend sector, division and unit meetings where required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Knowledge of policies around non-work related injuries or health conditions.
  • Allied health qualification or a wealth of experience in RTW
  • Proven understanding and experience in RTW case management practices and principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and coordinating recover at work policies, procedures, programs
  • and interventions for managing non-work related injuries or health conditions.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, including negotiation and presentation skills.
