Remunerations, Benefits & Rewards Specialist required for a local government organisation in Western Sydney

Your new company
You will be supporting a local government department in the Western Sydney area with less than 1000 employees.

Your new role
This position is responsible for designing, developing and implementing Remuneration, Benefits & Rewards strategy, framework and processes that promote a high performing culture to support the organisations strategic direction while being engaging, sophisticated and compliant.

  • Oversee the RB&R framework, program, policies and processes ensuring statutory, corporate and business needs are met such as Reward & Recognition programs, grading and benchmarking procedures.
  • Partner with the HR team and Payroll Team to support our leaders in embedding the RB&R strategy and programs.
  • Partner with senior leaders to define the most appropriate recognition and reward programs to support the strategic and operational plans.
  • Provide analytical modelling to support the implementation of new initiatives and calendar events across the System, including annual salary progression, talent and succession planning.
  • Evaluate and oversee the processing, within established guidelines, of off cycle compensation changes, allowances, and one-time payments requiring non-standard calculations and off award payment

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will have qualifications in HR, Business or relevant other at degree level as a minimum.
  • You will have at least 4 years' experience in a similar rem and bens strategic HR position.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills, with a proactive approach to developing a network in the remuneration industry
  • Demonstrated advanced ability to conduct reporting, analyse data and communicate trends, accompanied by well-developed excel skills
