Senior Health and Safety Advisor - Contract

Reporting to the WHS Manager you will develop and lead projects and initiatives relating to key safety priorities within this department. The successful candidate will work closely with the management team in a business partnering capacity to ensure that HSE strategy and practices are first class. The role will see you undertake proactive:

  • Review and standardise of all identified WHS procedures and retain the information on the department's Intranet in the Health and Safety section and develop additional procedures or update existing ones to include compliance obligations and legislative framework, evaluation of compliance and WHS assessments;
  • Perform a detailed review (Gap Analysis) of relevant issues, documentation and planned actions to be carried out by the Corporate Services team in consultation with representatives from the divisions;
  • Review and standardise all procedures and retain the information on the department's Intranet.

Critical to your success will be an open communication style, and an ability to think strategically and enthuse people about proactive safety management. A minimum of 5 years relevant experience, preferably gained in a professional services or government environment would be preferred. Your experience will cover both site based and corporate office environments and you be be adept with ISO 45001.
