Join a national government organisation in role where you will support both specialist front line staff and corporate support.  The role is based in the organisation HQ and supports several other sites across Australia.  You will be part of a team of HR generalist and specialist providing a comprehensive support to the internal client base.

The role is generalist but will have an ER focus - this will involve conducting investigations as well a coaching line managers on ER situations, ideally to avoid a volume of formal cases.

Overall Accountabilities include - 

- Employee Relations including disciplinaries and grievances 
- Job Evaluation, role classification and benchmarking
- Supporting the Performance review process
- Providing guidance to line manager to support improving their competence in people management
- Interpreting and advising on awards

To secure this role you will be a seasoned generalist with strength in depth and an interest in employee relations.   Government experience would be viewed favourable but the client is also open to HR professionals with large numbers of award based staff.   Industrial / manufacturing environment experience could be suitable.  Union exposure is desirable but not essential as the IR specialist primarily manages that relationship.
