Exciting new opportunities exist within the People team, who provides tailored, quality human resources services and products and ensuring a high level of expert support and advice, the People team enhances the ability of Colleges, Portfolios and Groups to meet their business objectives. This, in turn, enables University staff to better support the current and future student population at the University.

Who we need to join our team?

We need energetic Senior HR professionals who will bring a contemporary skill set to our diverse and highly experienced HR community.

We are looking for not one but two Senior HR Business Partners (position descriptions below) to join the team by April on one year fixed terms contract to cover maternity leave.

These are key senior leadership roles to influence and coach leaders through strategic advice, technical expertise and practical solutions.


  • RMIT University is an Athena SWAN member with Bronze Award accreditation and the College of Science, Engineering and Health is central to driving improvements in gender equality, diversity and inclusion, particularly in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM) disciplines;
  • We placed 11th in the 2019 Talent Board APAC Candidate Experience Awards.
  • RMIT was placed 10th in the 2019 Randstad Employer Brand Research Awards, up five spots from 2018;
  • We were named as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency in 2019;
