We are exclusively running a search for a leading national not-for-profit community based organisation with a few thousand employees, an annual revenue of over $150 million, a geographical footprint which is Australia-wide including regional and remote areas and a range of customer services. The Senior HR Manager job details are listed below.

Your new role
As a Senior HR Manager you will be a key member of the People Support Team, this exciting role has a national focus and is responsible for establishing and leading a national Human Resources (HR) framework, implementing and monitoring this framework and for embedding, supporting and continuously improving a national set of HR practices. These frameworks and practices will provide important supports for self-managed teams. You will collaborate closely with the Executive Leader People & Culture and with the broader executive leadership team to provide expert advice and support on proactive HR improvements across a broad range of HR subject areas.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications (postgraduate degree desirable)
  • With 10-15 years' experience you will be a SME in developing and delivering proactive HR initiatives and training aimed at embedding HR best practice
  • Demonstrated experience developing and leading a strategic organisational-wide HR framework and leading the successful implementation nationally
  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws, industrial instruments requirements and HR functions
  • Previous experience with rostering systems, contemporary HRIS's, team based organizational structures, progressive enterprise bargaining and alternative HR operating models
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse information and generate Executive/Board level reports and strategic recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, lead and adapt to new Human Resources practices
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with and work in partnership with stakeholders at an organisational level
  • Proven ability to perform a mixture of operational and strategic HR work
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support a wide variety of teams
  • Proven track record in successfully delivering a HR function in line with service and budgetary expectations.
  • High level of initiative and autonomy within the limit of the operational delegations
  • Proven ability to successfully operate under broad Executive level guidance
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
