Site Safety Officer role with reputable pharmaceutical firm with ease of access to the M1 and M3 freeway

Your new company
Site Safety Officer is being sought by a leading pharmaceuticals company based out in Dandenong South specialising in health, beauty and wellbeing. This company holds Safety as their core value. As this reputable organisation goes We are currently in search for a permanent Safety Officer to provide onsite support to all levels of staff. We are looking for someone to drive cultural change throughout the organisation.

Your new role
As the Safety Officer, you will be responsible for the training and induction of a diverse range of staff members, along with any contractors coming onsite. We are after an individual who will drive a reduction in workplace injuries and incidents. Reporting directly to the Distribution Centre Manager, we are looking for a resilient, proactive and competitive natured individual. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring compliance and promotion of all OH&S policies and procedure
  • Onsite Inspections and Audits
  • Driving and demonstrating safety behaviours
  • Risk Management and Risk Assessments
  • Review and Monitor Processes
  • Maintaining compliance in relation to Australian legislation


What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, demonstrated experience across Manufacturing or Warehousing procedures is required. We are looking for an individual with a minimum Certificate IV Occupational Health & Safety with proven ability to drive organisational culture at all levels of the business. You will have great interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
