Your new role
Reporting to the Principal Talent Acquisition, the Talent Specialists are the first point of contact for Australia's East Coast recruitment activities.
These positions will assist the Principal in providing front line, daily support as well as assisting in executing and driving recruitment initiatives and strategy to local customer groups (includes QLD and NT locations).
This role is initially offered as a 1 x 12 month contractor and will be based out of our Wollongong office in NSW.
Other accountabilities include:

  • Support hiring managers with full end to end recruitment process
  • Provides expertise and advice to the business relating to proactive talent acquisition strategies
  • Assists in the development and execution of the Talent Acquisition strategy and governance framework
  • Aligns resourcing activity to the Workforce Plan and Talent Management recommendations to match talent to critical work as well as provide career development opportunities
  • Works in collaboration with and provides guidance to outsourced providers for organisation.
  • Provides support, advice and recommendations to the Lead on relevant technologies and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Partners with key stakeholders to provide strategic advice relating to recruitment and talent acquisition opportunities and best practise
  • Represent the organisation at relevant industry and recruitment events - this includes travel to interstate and regional assets where necessary

    What you'll need to succeed
    About you
  • Tertiary qualification in HR, Organisational Psychology or Business (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders to translate business strategies into people strategy/action
  • Previous experience of managing a small team and working with remote sites (highly sought)
  • Previous detailed background within resource industry recruitment
  • Demonstrated internal consulting, business partnership, influencing and change management experience
  • Experience liaising with diverse and complex stakeholder groups at all levels of an organisation and working with 3rd party suppliers in support of strategic people initiatives
  • Creative, strategic thinker, highly self-motivated, results oriented and delivery focused
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to deliver to multiple competing priorities whilst maintaining customer centric thinking
  • Previous experience in implementing and roll out of new recruitment systems and associated HR process, SAP & Success Factors (highly desirable)
