About the role 

An exciting and unique opportunity exists for a passionate and energetic Talent, HR or Recruitment Adviser to join the business. Working in partnership with the business this influential role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process for both office and seasonal talent  needs. This includes coordinating the day-to-day recruitment function, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures, external advertising, shortlisting, preparing, and issuing relevant documentation and supporting the onboarding of new staff.  

This role will apply contemporary recruitment practices and support hiring managers to ensure a successful and smooth recruitment process Reporting and analysing of recruitment data to identify opportunities for improving the process.  

Reporting to the Talent and Organisational Development (OD) manager this role will work closely with the People and Safety team to develop and implement sourcing strategies to assist with difficult to fill roles and to create a talent pipeline for the future. In addition, this role will be involved in strategic projects and new initiatives which will support performance improvement and business growth. 

This is a permanent full-time position based in our West Pennant Hills office which is nestled in Cumberland State Forest. This role will require some travel to our other locations across NSW. 

About You 

You will be passionate about talent and recruitment and enjoy fostering and building strong relationships to drive a positive recruitment process for both the candidate and the business. You will have an energetic proactive approach to work and demonstrate flexibility in a changing environment. You will have an interest in both recruitment and general talent practices.  

Ideally, you will also possess the following skills, qualifications, and experience to succeed in the role: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in managing end to end recruitment.
  • Proven systems administration experience (HRIS, LMS, Sharepoint etc).
  • Excellent business and administrative skills and experience, including exceptional organisational skills, a proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritise work in a high-volume environment.
  • Well-developed analytical skills and proven ability to provide pragmatic solutions to complex problems.
  • Demonstrated customer service with a continual improvement focus.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed computer skills including advanced Excel capability and at least intermediate skills in other Microsoft Office applications/products.
