About Them
Your new organisation is a large and complex industry leader moving through significant change.  There is transformation right across this organisation including within the L&D Function.  As a result of a recent restructure there is a need for a Training Lead (Technical Learning) on a full time basis.

About the Role
The Training Lead (Technical Learning) will be responsible for managing a team of 14 training advisors as well as the development, management and delivery of vocational, technical and compliance training initiatives with a focus on continuous improvement.

In this role you will also be developing and implementing the delivery of an integrated authorised trainer and assessor framework to deliver capability development at the right level.

A key part of your role will be making sure that the organisation adopts the new capability development practices.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Seek and provide strategic advice to their RTO Partner
  • Monitor and manage services to ensure overall compliance with partnering RTO, ASQA and other external bodies
  • Identify and deliver efficiency gains and improve effectiveness of training
  • Coach, develop and manage a team of training advisors
About You
To be considered for this role you will ideally have:
  • Experience implementing a learning transformation from a traditional, event based classroom model, to an employee focused delivery framework with on the job training and assessment and verification of competency practices
  • Advanced understanding of VET–sector training standards and demonstrate knowledge of adult learning theory
  • Experience in working within RTO frameworks and being responsible for high levels of compliance
  • Experience leading and motivating a team across multiple sites
  • Ability to work under pressure and be outcomes focused
  • Minimum Cert IV Training and Assessment
  • Must have a current valid drivers licence
