Your new company
A leading multicategory consumer goods manufacturer is currently looking for a WHS & Sustainability Analyst on an ongoing contract basis to assist the WHS Manager. There is an excellent opportunity to join this company immediately.

Your new role
You will develop and champion the implementation of corporate safety and environmental strategies for deployment. Be the key technical specialist on all matters related to health, safety and environment. To drive the evolution of both the ESG and Facilities agenda optimising and simplifying ways of working and reporting.

Your role will include:

  • Develop and support a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce workplace injuries and ensure workplace health and safety business needs are met.
  • Ensure all internal and external standards are met for environmental and OHS standards and procedures during the design and installation of all new and upgraded equipment and facilities.
  • Investigate Accident/Incidents of a safety and work environment nature and provide recommendations to management on the elimination, or reduction, to acceptable levels of risk associated with investigation findings.
  • Provide management with clear expectations and standards on the design, implementation and purchase of workplace environments and equipment in relation to Occupational Health, safety and Ergonomic principles.
  • Identify EHS/ESG training needs leading to the design and implementation of training plans across the organisation.
  • Monitor EHS performance against internal and external standards and best practice and drive improvement activities.
  • Conduct workplace audits and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate Return to Work plans in conjunction with the HR.
  • Maintain Rapid system data integrity, reporting and contractor management compliance.
  • Business Impact Analysis (BIA) are performed per the Global Guidelines.
  • Manage the development and implementation of competency-based training programs.
  • Monitor and Ensure delivery of a facilities management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements, as well as conducting and documenting regular facilities inspections.
  • Actively seek new technology and processes that will assist in the reduction of Energy Usage and Waste Reduction in all forms.
  • Manage the company's sustainability agenda to deliver a positive impact on society the economy and environment.
  • Monitor and implement reporting of all sustainability data with the set global timeframes.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary Work Health Safety Qualification (such as Certificate IV in WHS)
  • Prior experience in a similar WHS role in a blue-collar environment
  • High level administrative skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
