Your new company
Your new company is a local council in the southern Sydney suburbs. The Council is implementing a new payroll system which will also affect the rostering system.
Your new role
As a Workforce Planner, you will act as a Business Partner for the business' rosterers and will be the conduit between HR and Payroll.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the rostered business to function more strategically to ensure they have their operation's resource needs met, and ensure business continuity from one shift to the next
- Ensuring governance and consistency across the Council for roster management, developing operating frameworks and best practice principles.
- Using knowledge and expertise in employment conditions and how they translate from a work pattern to a pay outcome to enable forward planning.
- Modelling any changes to proposed employment conditions (in a situation like an Enterprise Agreement negotiations or workforce changes) and determining budget and resourcing implications.
What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant experience in a similar role supporting rosters and acting as a conduit between HR and Payroll
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
