Our client, a well known Victorian Service Provider, is seeking an astute Workplace Relations Consultant to provide strategic advisory and consultancy services in Industrial and Employee Relations. This is an exciting opportunity for an IR/ER specialist to make their mark and work alongside an experienced legal and people and culture team!

As an experienced Industrial & Employee Relations specialist, you will thrive working within challenging environments and enjoy offering a consultative approach to your stakeholders.

Working collaboratively with the team, your portfolio of responsibilities will include be not be limited to:

  • Provide accurate technical advice on all aspects of workplace relations to internal clients and external stakeholders when directed
  • Represent the interests of the client through the consultative processes by assisting internal clients to achieve organisational outcome
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and a professional working relationship with relevant unions and associations to assist with the delivery of workplace relations and/or organisational outcomes
  • Provide support prior to and during enterprise bargaining as and when required
  • Assist with representing the clients interests in employment and industrial matters at State and Federal Tribunals when directed
  • Monitor, analyse and evaluate industrial issues, trends and Government directives to develop and implement policies and procedures within the organisation and ensure they are consistent with proper industrial practice
Tertiary qualified in ER/IR, Human Resources, Labour Law and/or Behavioural Sciences, you will be able to interpret legal terminology, have been involved inEBA negotiations and have had exposure to managing end to end investigations through to completion. In addition to this, you will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
