Reporting to the General Manager, People and Culture, this pivotal role is responsible for the architecture, plan, communication and execution of critical operational projects and initiatives.  Working in the business as an expert in People and Culture Operations and ER/IR, you will be instrumental in developing sound approaches and solutions to complex and detailed situations. 

Critical to your success, will be your demonstrated experience in dealing with broad and complex operational business initiatives and as well as a proven track record in resolving escalated employee/industrial relations matters.  As an accomplished leader, you are comfortable working in extremely fast paced environments with a high degree of autonomy and the ability to effectively coach and share your knowledge to drive positive outcomes and applying effective change management principles to lead key strategic projects. 

Key responsibilities include and are not limited to;

  • Providing strategic advice, consultancy and case management services on a range of complex workplace relations activities
  • Leading and/or supporting a range of complex operational workplace relations projects including small and large scale change activities and acquisitions
  • Creating fit for purpose plans, timings, communications, tools, letters, team talks and templates for a range of operational projects impacting team members
  • Managing annual cyclical activities including performance objectives, performance appraisals, incentives and remuneration reviews
  • Coaching business partners and advisors to ensure effective decision making in relation to employee and industrial relations matters
  • Supporting WHS practices and policies to ensure a safe environment for team members and adhere to legislative requirements

To be considered for this role, you will possess extensive experience in the IR landscape, particularly as it applies to commercial contexts together with advanced experience in negotiation, conciliation and arbitration activities. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Law or related Industrial Relations or a HR discipline is essential to this role.
