Join a key Federal Government department committed to supporting and enhancing workplace culture across the Australian Public Service. You'll be part of a growing Workplace Relations function supporting positive workplace outcomes and strategic HR initiatives.
Your new role
Key responsibilities include:

Providing expert advice to managers and staff on workplace relations and employment conditions
-
Supporting case management involving misconduct, underperformance, and complaints
-
Interpreting and applying enterprise agreements, HR policies, and relevant legislation
-
Contributing to the development and review of workplace relations policies and procedures
-
Maintaining accurate records and assisting in internal and external reporting
-
Building strong relationships across business areas to promote positive workplace outcomes
What you'll need to succeed
-
Sound knowledge of APS employment frameworks, legislation, and enterprise agreements and ability to apply knowledge to complex matters.

Strong analytical and advisory skills with the ability to interpret complex HR issues
-
Demonstrated experience in case management or employee relations
-
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
-
Confidence in working independently and collaboratively within a team

Strong attention to detail, organisational and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
-
Tertiary qualifications in human resources or other relevant qualifications.
AHRI membership (CPHR or working towards) highly regarded -
Expert knowledge of employment legislation, employee relations and performance management
- Minimum Baseline Security Clearance
All applicants must have Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
