Your new role

Join our team as a Rehabilitation and Safety Advisor, where you'll play a crucial role in enhancing safety, culture, and capability within our organisation. You'll provide expert services and advice across diverse and complex work environments, focusing on injury management and workplace health and safety (WHS). Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offering in-depth advice on the practical interpretation and application of relevant legislation, Codes of Practice, industry standards, and internal guidelines.
  • Leading the management of rehabilitation and workers' compensation matters to support sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
  • Developing and delivering rehabilitation and safety documentation, including policies and procedures, aligned with organisational needs.
  • Designing and leading process and system enhancements, particularly in addressing psychosocial hazards and psychological wellbeing.
  • Preparing expert advice, briefing materials, and data reports for relevant committees and executives.
  • Coordinating, developing, and delivering training and guidance to support employee health and wellbeing.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven ability to achieve results and provide advice on wellbeing, rehabilitation, and safety in diverse workplaces.
  • Strong research, consultation, and analytical skills to support business improvements and compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills for fostering positive working relationships and negotiating with stakeholders.
  • Ability to write complex communications, including briefs, committee papers, and governance documentation.
  • Capability to work under limited direction and manage change and uncertainty in the workplace.
  • Operational leadership skills that promote shared organisational objectives and build capability in others.
Desirable:
  • Allied health degree or relevant qualifications in injury or risk management.
  • Experience in injury and rehabilitation case management.
  • Experience in managing psychosocial hazards in diverse risk profiles.
