DE&I Consultant temporary opportunity within state government.
Your new company
Our client is looking for an experienced Diversity & Inclusion Advisor to join their team on a 6-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension.
Your new role
- Lead the development and delivery of Diversity & Inclusion strategies, including Reconciliation Action Plans, Access & Inclusion Plans, and Multicultural Action Plans.
- Provide expert advice to business units on diversity initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement and measurable outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate progress against diversity targets, producing regular reports and insights aligned with best practice.
- Develop tools and frameworks to assess and report on diversity outcomes, including briefings and action plans.
- Embed Gender Impact Assessments within workforce planning and policy development.
- Conduct research and analysis on workforce inclusion trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employee reference groups and community partners.
- Champion culturally responsive services and lead awareness campaigns, events, and key dates that promote inclusion.
- Contribute to the development of inclusive policies and practices across the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in diversity and inclusion, workforce planning, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of government or public sector frameworks is highly desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to program delivery and evaluation.
