- Fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Employee Relations Specialist
My client is seeking a highly skilled and values-driven an Employee Relations Team Leader to oversee complex and sensitive workplace investigations, build team capability, and foster a culture of fairness, integrity, and inclusion. This pivotal role ensures people feel safe and supported, and respected, while safeguarding organisational integrity and reducing risk.

Drive inclusive culture: Model behaviours aligned with values, fostering a safe, caring, and collaborative environment.

Talent development: Identify, attract, retain, and nurture talent through mentoring, succession planning, and professional development.

Investigations leadership: Allocate and oversee workplace cases, guiding the team through planning, risk triage, interviews, findings, and reporting.

Compliance assurance: Ensure investigations comply with the Fair Work Act, enterprise agreements, legislation, and safety regulations.

Capability building: Elevate team confidence and skills through coaching, training, and continuous improvement.

Collaboration with HR: Partner with HR Business Partners to provide context, insights, and support for post-investigation actions.

Escalation management: Serve as the point of escalation for sensitive or high-impact cases, engaging external vendors when required.

Data insights: Provide reporting, trend analysis, and insights to inform proactive people and culture strategies.

Documentation excellence: Maintain accurate, comprehensive case files ready for internal and external scrutiny.

Continuous improvement: Contribute to investigation tools, process enhancements, and employee education initiatives.
What you need to succeed
- Extensive experience conducting and overseeing complex workplace investigations in a unionised environment
- Strong understanding of workplace legislation (e.g. Fair Work Act), enterprise agreements, and procedural fairness principles.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience mentoring investigators and building team capability in high-volume or high-risk settings.
- Relevant tertiary or Diploma level qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- High standard of written and verbal communication
