Our Client
Our local government client is looking for a Health & Safety Officer to join the team on a permanent basis.
Your New Role
As a Health and Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our employees and maintaining a safe work environment. You will be responsible for developing and implementing health and safety policies, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Your proactive approach will help prevent accidents and promote a culture of safety.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Provide training and support to staff on health and safety practices.
- Investigate and report on incidents and accidents.
- Promote a culture of safety within the organisation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
- Proven experience in a health and safety role.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
