Our CBD-based mining client is seeking a proactive, generalist HR Advisor to join their team.

An established resources organisation is seeking a capable HR Advisor to support leaders and employees across a broad range of operational HR activities within their Perth CBD-based team.

This role will provide day-to-day HR advice across workforce planning, recruitment support, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, change initiatives, and process and systems improvement.

You will work closely with site-based and corporate-based leaders and the broader human resources team, providing practical advice, supporting cyclical HR activities, and contribute to a positive, engaged and high-performance workplace.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing generalist HR advice and support to leaders and employees
  • Managing employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, investigations and case management
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, probation and workforce planning activities
  • Coaching leaders on people matters, performance conversations and effective team management
  • Using HR data and analytics to identify trends, inform decisions and support business planning
  • Supporting talent, succession, engagement and career management initiatives
  • Assisting with change initiatives, communication plans and continuous improvement activities
  • Monitoring centralised employee queries and supporting timely service delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, industrial instruments, policies and procedures
To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline, or current HR studies
  • Previous experience in a generalist HR advisory role
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial relations and HR compliance
  • Experience of supporting employee relations matters and investigations
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and coaching skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence using HR systems and data to support effective decision-making
