Your new role
As an HR Advisor, you will provide support to the People & Culture team and have responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Manage HRIS and Employment Requests: Review and process all employment-related requests using the HRIS, ensuring compliance with policies, awards, contracts, and legislative requirements within required timeframes, including fortnightly payroll deadlines.
- Recruitment and Selection: Provide support across all aspects of recruitment, selection, appointment, training, and continuing employment activities within the P&C team and across the organisation.
- Manager Support and Advising: Support and advising managers in HR processes across the employment lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance, professional development, and employment exit.
- Data Management and Reporting: Prepare and process employment contracts and variation letters, maintain accurate records, and prepare informational reports and analyses as required.
- Employee onboarding and Exit: Support a smooth and welcoming onboarding service for new employees and facilitate the employee exit process, including liaising with managers and Payroll to ensure accurate records and understanding reasons for turnover.
- Policy and Process Improvement: Identify process improvements, training opportunities, and assist in the development of solutions to continuously improve customer service, productivity, and effective resolution of problems.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in HR, including sound knowledge of current HR practice.
- High level organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to work flexibly, manage multiple priorities and attention to detail to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
- High level computing skills, including proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and experience using a HRIS.
