A leading organisation is seeking an experienced HSE Business Partner to join their team on a 6-month contract, with the potential for a permanent opportunity. This role is based onsite full-time at Garden Island, supporting a high-risk operational environment.
Location: Garden Island, Sydney
Start Date: ASAP
Work Arrangement: 5 days onsite
Rate: $650/day + Super
About the Role:
This position plays a key role in driving health, safety, and environmental performance across the site. The successful candidate will work closely with operational leaders to implement HSE strategies, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, and promote a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the implementation of HSE strategy and improvement initiatives.

Provide coaching and support to leaders and frontline teams.

Manage incident investigations and ensure appropriate follow-up.

Promote emergency preparedness and continuous improvement.

Maintain compliance with applicable legislation and internal standards.
Skills and Experience:
-
Diploma in WHS (post-2012) and a minimum of 5 years' HSE experience.

Strong understanding of HSE legislation and risk management frameworks.

Experience in high-risk environments such as manufacturing or construction.

Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

Practical knowledge of emergency procedures and safety systems.
Mandatory Requirements:

Australian Citizenship (due to Defence clearance requirements).
-
Ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
