Temporary to Permanent Opportunity for an up and coming HSEQ Manager
Our client is a growing organisation servicing the mining sector.
They are seeking the expertise of an experienced HSEQ professional who has prior knowledge of the mining, heavy industrial or logistics sectors.
You will ensure effective management systems are in place and being implemented, and that all compliance, legislation and regulatory standards are adhered to.
Core Responsibilities will include:

Partner with Business & Corporate Teams: Facilitate positive safety behaviours for a customer-focused business.

Develop HSE Strategies: Implement annual HSE improvement plans, measure, and report on performance.

Support Audits: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager on internal and external audits to ISO 45001 and 5001.

Incident Management: Investigate incidents and report notifiable occurrences to the appropriate regulator.

Manage Safety Systems: Oversee safety management systems, including policies, procedures, and electronic reporting platforms.

Promote Safety Culture: Support HSE systems that promote a safety culture across the workforce.

Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to policies and laws.

Policy Maintenance: Maintain HSE policies, procedures, and processes to current regulatory standards.

Conduct Presentations: Present on health and safety matters and incident prevention.

Build Relationships: Develop rapport with client and host employer HSE teams.

Training: Conduct inductions and workplace learning as needed.

Reporting: Internal and external reporting as required
It is essential that you be a commercially focused HSEQ Manager who excels at building effective relationships and delivering a high level of service. You will possess a relevant WHS qualification and, ideally, ICAM qualification, as well as the ability to analyse data and provide risk assessments and recommendations. Exposure to prior HSEQ auditing will be highly regarded along with a Cert IV in Training and Assessment. It is essential that you possess demonstrated HSEQ management experience from within an operational environment and have the ability to travel to a site once per month.
This position will commence on a temporary basis with a view to permanent conversion.
