Our Client
Our client is located south of the river, and they are seeking an Injury Management Advisor to join the team on a temporary basis with the possibility of the role going permanent.
Your new role
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing and implementing injury prevention strategies aimed at reducing the risk of workplace injury and supporting a positive workplace safety culture. You will provide effective early intervention and injury management support to staff to achieve the best possible outcome following workplace injury.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Work extensively and in collaboration with managers to ensure effective injury management programs are implemented for work-related injuries.
- Responsible for the delivery of effective early intervention strategies to achieve the best possible outcome following an injury.
- Lead on day-to-day claims management, including liaising with all key stakeholders and external providers
- Lead on the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries, including provision of consultation, advice, education strategies, ergonomic risk assessments, reports and recommendations.
- Lead, develop and implement Manual Task Injury Prevention program
- Supporting the People and Culture team to implement practical and proactive strategies that aim to effectively support and enhance employee health and wellbeing.
- Developing and delivering reports with regard to injury trends and analysing trends to identify high risk areas around the business.
- Undertake ad hoc duties as directed by the Work, Health and Safety Manager and provide support and cover for key WHS programs and initiatives
What you need to succeed
- Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy or other Allied Health or Nursing related field.
- Knowledge of and experience in WHS and/or Injury Management practices.
- Demonstrated previous experience in a hands-on role with a good understanding of musculoskeletal injuries and their management.
- Ability to establish individual vocational rehabilitation plans in consultation with key stakeholders and tailored to the employee's current and changing presentation.
- Ability to deliver wellbeing initiatives and activities to a broad range of employees.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Computer literacy with good Microsoft knowledge.
- Experience in the use of Injury management software e.g. Solv is desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills including high attention to detail.
