Specialist learning and development advisor with strong instructional design experience

Are you passionate about building capability, designing engaging learning experiences, and helping people grow? We are seeking a proactive and creative Learning & Development Advisor to join our client's People & Capability team and play a key role in shaping learning across their workforce.

In this dynamic position, you will design, deliver, and manage a range of digital, face-to-face, and blended learning programs using tools such as Articulate 360. You'll collaborate closely with subject-matter experts, managers, and operational teams to translate business needs into practical, effective learning outcomes.

You will also support compliance training, onboarding, induction programs, and ensure learning content remains current, engaging, and aligned to regulatory requirements.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love creating learning that makes an impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Create engaging learning solutions (digital, face-to-face, blended) using Articulate 360
  • Facilitate interactive training sessions tailored to operational and business needs
  • Manage organisational training compliance, reporting, and record keeping
  • Develop compliance-related training materials and ensure they remain current
  • Oversee the organisational training matrix, including capturing requirements, content development, allocations, and reporting
  • Work closely with HSEQ, Compliance, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure training is relevant and fit-for-purpose
  • Report on training completion through dashboards and provide audit-ready documentation
  • Ensure compliance with training requirements
  • Support onboarding and induction programs for new employees
  • Monitor participation and completion rates through the LMS, addressing any gaps
  • Maintain Learning Management System content, enrolments, and training records
  • Gather feedback and performance data to evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Assist with scheduling, communications, logistics, and coordination of training activities
  • Stay up to date with learning trends, technologies, and best practice

Initially, this role will have a greater weight towards instructional design and, as such, our client is seeking an individual with strong experience in learning design and delivery, ideally with Articulate 360. You will possess confident facilitation and presentation skills, as well as exemplary organisation and project management skills. You will possess the ability to partner effectively across diverse stakeholder groups and be able to influence change. You will become the subject-matter expert for the new HRIS system and, therefore, it is essential that you are excited by new technology. This is an opportunity to be given clear direction related to both business as usual and project-related tasks and then have the autonomy to deliver. Prior LMS knowledge will be pivotal to your success in this role.
