Your new role

As a People & Culture Advisor, you will play a vital role in delivering day-to-day operational support. You will manage the recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes. Additionally, you will support business units with onboarding programs, manage the offboarding process, and maintain HRIS data integrity.

You will champion the organisation's values, promoting a culture of care, collaboration, and accountability. Supporting people leaders in developing and implementing initiatives to enhance employee engagement and well-being will be key. You will also ensure compliance with employment legislation, maintain and update policies, and support diversity and inclusion initiatives.

In this role, you will assist people leaders with performance reviews, goal setting, and professional development plans. You will identify training needs and coordinate learning and development opportunities. Acting as a first point of contact for employees on P&C-related queries, you will support people leaders in managing employee relations issues and Workers Compensation processes.

You will support WGEA submission, report on P&C metrics, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on company-wide projects and change management processes. Contributing to People & Culture projects, including policy reviews, system upgrades, and culture initiatives, will also be part of your responsibilities.

To be successful in this role, you should have knowledge of employment legislation and P&C best practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, are essential. You should demonstrate the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, possess problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, and maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.

The ability to manage multiple projects and work streams effectively is crucial. Willingness to travel to other sites as required and a current Tasmanian Driver Licence are necessary. You will possess proven experience in a People & Culture Officer or Advisor role, relevant tertiary qualifications or progress towards a qualification in Human Resources or Business.

What you'll get in return

You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment, contributing to the mission of fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. This role offers a chance to work with a supportive team and develop your career in People & Culture.
