This position plays a vital part in helping our client's people recover and return to meaningful work after injury, illness, or health challenges. This is an initial 6-month contract, based in Western Sydney. You will support a team to ensure the efficient and effective resolution of claims while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

You will support a team to ensure the efficient and effective resolution of claims while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Your new role

Manage the team responsible for workers' compensation benefits, income protection claims, and ensure compliance with legislation and policies.

Deliver timely and professional advice to senior management on insurance schemes, claims management, and legislative changes.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including insurers and government agencies, to optimise processes.

Establish and oversee Service Level Agreements (SLAs), review claims for compliance, and recommend improvements aligned with best practice.

Ensure all documentation and processes meet legal, regulatory, and organisational standards, and manage complex issues to reduce delays.
What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience interpreting and applying Workers Compensation legislation, including PAWE/PIAWE calculations.

Extensive experience in insurance-related disciplines and/or payroll transactional environments.

Strong ability to initiate and maintain strategic relationships to drive performance and meet SLAs.

Demonstrated capability to lead teams, mentor staff, and manage performance effectively.

Ability to assess complex issues, develop practical solutions, and provide strategic advice on policy and operational matters.
