Your new company

A high-profile State Government organisation is looking for an AO4 Tribunal Coordinator to join their team for a six-month engagement in a Central Brisbane CBD location.

Possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Your new role

Key areas of responsibility within the Tribunal Coordination function will include:
  • Manage insurer referral cases end‑to‑end, including triage, admin oversight, reviewing findings, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating security when needed.
  • Coordinate communication with workers, their representatives, insurers and tribunal doctors, ensuring the tribunal process and relevant legislation are clearly understood.
  • Deliver a respectful, supportive experience for all stakeholders by helping ensure tribunal processes run smoothly, efficiently and professionally.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, nonperforming team by offering support, flexibility and strong engagement.
  • Build team capability by providing coaching, timely feedback and technical guidance.
  • Support improvements by helping identify and implement better ways of working.
  • Carry out general administrative duties, including escorting workers to medical exams, managing reception, and handling travel and financial processing.

What you'll need to succeed

The following desirable skills and knowledge will be highly appreciated:
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply workers' compensation or related legislation.
  • Strong background in customer support and resolving complaints.
  • Experienced in handling workloads within structured, process‑focused environments.
  • High‑level communication skills with the capability to engage, negotiate and maintain productive relationships.
  • Proficient in word processing, data entry and digital file management systems.
  • Skilled at organising priorities, meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Workers' compensation knowledge and/or experience in a tribunal/court/for a regulator.
