Seeking an AO5 WHS Administration Support Officer - Start ASAP

Your new company

Exciting opportunity for an AO5 WHS Administration Support Officer to support a State Government department - contract until 30 April, with extension possible.

Your new role

In this role, you'll be supporting and strengthening safety practices across a diverse operational environment - this includes:

  • Support the administration of the organisation's Health & Safety Management System.
  • Coordinate WHS training sessions, including working with external providers and maintaining the training register.
  • Provide WHS&E advice to operational teams on safety processes, compliance and new technologies.
  • Lead and assist with site safety audits and inspections for both internal and contractor work.
  • Conduct and oversee incident and hazard investigations and support staff with reporting.
  • Prepare WHS performance reports for senior management and assist with staff rehabilitation management.
  • Complete all required WHS&E reporting on time.
  • Train and guide staff in new WHS&E technologies, including asbestos and lead safety practices.

Additional desirable skills / certifications:
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong project management and customer service skills.
